Cross Country Teams Kick Off Season at Vermont Tech Maple Syrup Challenge
RANDOLPH CENTER, Vt.- The Eastern Nazarene College men's and women's cross country teams opened the 2021 campaign at the Vermont Tech Maple Syrup Challenge meet Saturday.
Ian Pacheco (San Pedro Sula, Honduras) paced the Lions' men's squad with a time of 35:50.74 while Ryan Polsgrove (Quincy, Mass.) crossed the finish line in 37:40.33.
The Eastern Nazarene women's team was led by Elizabeth Gillis (Westford, Mass.) with a mark of 27:35.14. Jordyn Fitch (Piscataway, N.J.) and Hannah Kee (Ansan, South Korea) both made their collegiate cross country debuts Saturday for the Lions.
Looking ahead, Eastern Nazarene will compete at the Gordon Pop Crowell Invitational September 18.
