Cross Country Teams Start Season at Endicott Invitational Saturday
BEVERLY, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College's men's and women's cross country teams opened the 2019 campaign at the Endicott Invitational Saturday afternoon.
The Lions' men's squad placed 10th at the meet.
Sophomore Elizabeth Gillis (Westford, Mass.) was the lone representative for the ENC women's cross country team, posting a time of 27:08.
Freshman Ryan Polsgrove (Quincy, Mass.) placed 42nd in his first collegiate race, crossing the finish line in 33:20. Robert Gorman (Ellington, Conn.) finished with a mark of 33:46 to place 47th.
Kyandre Martinez (Brockton, Mass.), Joseph Merrigan (Quincy, Mass.), and Seth Folk (Hollywood, Md.) also represented the Lions.
Nichols claimed the men's team title after garnering the top two individual finishers.
On the women's side, Regis captured the team crown the top three finishers in the field.
Looking ahead, Eastern Nazarene will compete at the Gordon Pop Crowell Invitational September 21.
