Men’s Volleyball Falls at No. 11 Nichols in NEVC Opener
DUDLEY, Mass. - The Eastern Nazarene College men's volleyball team suffered a 3-0 setback at nationally-ranked Nichols Friday evening in the first New England Volleyball Conference match of the year.
THE BASICS:
Score: Eastern Nazarene 0, No. 11 Nichols 3
Records: Lions (9-5, 0-1 NEVC) | Bison (16-3, 3-0 NEVC)
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Nichols rolled to a 25-13 decision in the first set to grab a 1-0 lead.
- The Bison captured the second frame 25-20 to stretch their advantage to 2-0.
- The home side triumphed 25-17 in the third to collect their third conference win of the season.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Delfy Soler (Lawrence, Mass.) tallied a match-high 11 kills.
- Alejandro Garcia Fernandez (San Juan, P.R.) finished with seven kills while Jacob Lotts (Mission Viejo, Calif.) added four kills.
- Aaron Huang (Quincy, Mass.) dished out 18 assists.
- Jack Normandin and Tanner Soracco both posted seven kills to lead Nichols while Dylan Knapp contributed with six kills and seven total blocks.
