Men’s Volleyball’s Alejandro Garcia Fernandez Repeats as NEVC Player of the Week

SMITHFIELD, R.I.- Senior Alejandra Garcia Fernandez (San Juan, P.R.) of the Eastern Nazarene College men's volleyball team was named the New England Volleyball Conference Player of the Week for the second-straight week, as the league announced its weekly awards Tuesday.

Garcia Fernandez posted 40 kills, 14 digs, and eight aces on the week as the Lions dropped a 3-0 decision at Emmanuel before sweeping Emerson and American International at home.

This season, Garcia Fernandez leads the league with 3.97 kills-per-set while ranking second in the conference with 131 total kills.

Eastern Nazarene sports an 8-4 record on the season and travels to Fisher February 27.
