Men’s Volleyball’s Alejandro Garcia Fernandez Named NEVC Player of the Week

SMITHFIELD, R.I.- Senior Alejandro Garcia Fernandez (San Juan, P.R.) of the Eastern Nazarene College men's volleyball team was named the New England Volleyball Conference Player of the Week, as the league announced its weekly awards Tuesday.

Garcia Fernandez tallied 27 kills, seven digs, and three aces in two matches on the week. In the Lions' 3-0 loss to MIT, he posted a match-best 18 kills to go with five digs.

This season, Garcia Fernandez ranks seventh in the league with 91 kills while ranking second with 16 service aces on the year.

Eastern Nazarene sports a 6-3 record on the season and travels to Emmanuel February 14.
