Men’s Volleyball Absorbs 3-0 Loss at Lasell

NEWTON, Mass. - The Eastern Nazarene College men's volleyball team suffered a 3-0 setback at Lasell Tuesday evening.

THE BASICS:

Records: Lions (6-2) | Lasers (5-4)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Lasell rolled to a 25-12 win in the first set to claim a 1-0 advantage.
• The home side captured the second frame 25-17 to widen the margin to 2-0.
• The Lasers edged the Lions 25-23 in the third to lock up their eighth-straight win in the all-time series.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

• Alejandro Garcia Fernandez (San Juan, P.R.) paced the visitors with nine kills and three service aces.
• Delfy Soler (Lawrence, Mass.) finished with five kills while Jacob Zarges (Quincy, Mass.) and Matthew Mucha (Fresh Meadows, N.Y.) both added four kills on the night.
• Aaron Huang (Quincy, Mass.) dished out 21 assists and posted one block.
• Jan Baranowski led Lasell with seven kills and six aces while Brenden Joyce tallied five kills and Jesus Garcia registered 17 assists.

Eastern Nazarene returns home to take on MIT February 8.
