Men’s Volleyball Posts Two Wins Over Fisher Saturday

QUINCY, Mass. - The Eastern Nazarene College men's volleyball team notched a pair of 3-0 victories over Fisher Saturday afternoon at the Lahue Athletic Center. With the two wins, the Lions improve to 3-0 on the year, the best start in program-history.

MATCH ONE
THE BASICS:

Records: Lions (2-0) | Falcons (0-1)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Eastern Nazarene captured the first set 25-13 to grab a 1-0 edge.
• The Lions cruised to a 25-8 win in the second frame to double their advantage to 2-0 in the match.
• Eastern Nazarene triumphed 25-10 in the third to lock up its first-ever win over Fisher.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

• Jacob Zarges (Quincy, Mass.) tallied a match-high 10 kills to go with six service aces and four digs.
• Delfy Soler (Lawrence, Mass.) finished with seven kills while Luis Palacio (Revere, Mass.) added six kills and five aces.
• Matthew Mucha (Fresh Meadows, N.Y.) chipped in with five kills and four aces.
• Aaron Huang (Quincy, Mass.) dished out 28 assists and dealt three service aces.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Eastern Nazarene prevailed 25-17 in the opening frame to establish a 1-0 lead.
• The hosts rolled to a 25-11 victory in the second to extend the gap to 2-0.
• The Lions chalked up a 25-15 decision in the third to set to earn their third win in a row.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

• Nathan Caldwell (Quincy, Mass.) racked up a career-best 16 kills.
• Luis Palacio (Revere, Mass.) recorded seven kills, five digs, and four aces while Jacob Zarges (Quincy, Mass.) also finished with seven kills and four service aces.
• Aaron Huang (Quincy, Mass.) posted 30 assists to go with three aces.
