WESTON, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College men's volleyball team dropped a 3-1 decision at Regis Friday evening.
The Lions dip to 1-5 on the year with the setback while the Pride improves to 1-2 overall.
Alejandro Garcia Fernandez (San Juan, Puerto Rico) notched a match-high 16 kills to go with four digs. Delfy Soler (Lawrence, Mass.) finished with eight kills and nine digs. Aaron Huang (Quincy, Mass.) registered 27 assists and eight digs while Fernando Paredes (Passaic, N.J.) collected 10 digs.
The home side snagged the opening set 25-19 to post a 1-0 lead.
Eastern Nazarene answered with a narrow 25-23 win in the second frame to level the match at 1-1.
Regis reclaimed a one-set edge, 2-1, with a 25-23 victory in the third.
The Pride wrapped up its first win of the season with a 25-22 decision in the fourth set.
Matt Ferrara and Joseph Perez paced the hosts with 11 kills and seven digs each. Tyrell Bucasas dished out 21 assists and Marcello Cappuccio added 11 digs.
