QUINCY, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College men's volleyball team endured a 3-0 loss to nationally-ranked MIT Wednesday evening at the Lahue Athletic Center.
The Lions slide to 1-4 on the year with the setback while the Engineers, ranked No. 12 in the AVCA National Poll, climb to 4-0 overall.
Alejandro Garcia Fernandes (San Juan, Puerto Rico) posted eight kills to go with three digs. Delfy Soler (Lawrence, Mass.) finished with three kills and a pair of digs. Aaron Huang (Quincy, Mass.) tallied 11 assists, four digs, and two service aces.
The visitors captured the first set 25-18 to build a 1-0 lead and extended their advantage to 2-0 with a 25-18 decision in the second.
MIT triumphed 25-19 in the third to seal its fourth-consecutive victory.
Jack Roberson notched a team-high six kills for the Engineers while Brett Allen added five kills and Phillip Johnson chipped in with four kills.
