Men's Volleyball Drops Midweek Match to Nichols, 3-0
QUINCY, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College men's volleyball team absorbed a 3-0 loss to Nichols in non-conference action Wednesday evening at the Lahue Physical Education Center.
The Lions slip to 9-9 on the season with the setback while the Bison improve to 13-5 overall with the result.
Tim Eddings (Endicott, N.Y.) paced the offense with seven kills while adding seven digs. Chris Jaskiewicz (Oakdale, Conn.) finished with seven kills, six digs, and four total blocks. Nicholas Thibeau (Spencerport, N.Y.) chipped in with six kills. Brandon Jenkins (Norton, Mass.) notched 23 assists, six digs, three service aces, and a pair of kills.
The guests grabbed a 1-0 edge after a narrow 25-23 decision in the opening set.
Nichols pushed its lead to 2-0 with a 25-20 win in the second frame.
The Bison clinched their sixth-straight victory with a 25-23 win in the third.
Ray Wang posted a match-high 14 kills while Lance Law recorded a double-double with 13 kills and 11 digs.
Looking ahead, Eastern Nazarene travels to defending NECC champion Endicott March 12.
