Delfy Soler Collects Fifth NECC Men’s Volleyball Rookie of the Week Honor
MANSFIELD, Mass.- Freshman Delfy Soler (Lawrence, Mass.) of the Eastern Nazarene College men's volleyball team has been tabbed the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Rookie of the Week for the fifth-straight week, announced the league office Monday.
Soler notched 13 kills, 15 digs, four service aces, and three total blocks as the Lions posted a 1-1 record on the week.
He registered five kills, eight digs, two blocks, and a pair of aces as Eastern Nazarene opened conference play with a 3-0 victory at Dean.
Soler capped off the week with eight kills, seven digs, and two aces as the Lions dropped a 3-1 decision at Nichols.
This season, Soler ranks second in the league with 222 kills while ranking third with 3.58 kills-per-set. He has also recorded 107 digs, 30 total blocks, and 18 service aces on the year.
Eastern Nazarene boasts a 9-8 overall record to go with a 1-1 mark in NECC action. The Lions return to the court March 11 to battle Nichols at home.
