Men’s Track & Field Competes at Corsair Classic Saturday
NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College men's track and field team opened the 2018 season at the UMass Dartmouth Corsair Classic Saturday.
The Lions placed ninth in the team standings, finishing ahead of Lyndon State, Community College of Rhode Island, Lasell, and the University of New England.
Paul Chong (Reading, Calif.) claimed a first-place finish in the long jump with a leap of 6.29 meters.
Robbion Harris (Steilacoom, Wash.) placed seventh in the 200 meter dash with a time of 23.93 seconds while also earning ninth in the high jump with a mark of 1.73 meters and taking 14th in the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.89 seconds.
Kevin Rop (Silver Spring, Md.) captured seventh in the 400 meter dash as he crossed the finish line in 55.20 seconds.
Cody Brooks (Mifflinburg, Pa.), Tajere Folk (Lancaster, Pa.), Stephen Ingersoll (Newark, N.J.), Kevin Rodrigues (Dorchester, Mass.), Quinn Smith (Galway, N.Y.), and Bryan Vassar (Worcester, Mass.) also represented the Lions at the meet.
Up next, Eastern Nazarene will participate in the Mount Holyoke College Spring Fling Invitational April 14.
