Iker Rodriguez Collects GNAC Men’s Tennis Player of the Week
WINTHROP, Mass.- Sophomore Iker Rodriguez (Naucalpan, Mexico) of the Eastern Nazarene College men's tennis team has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Player of the Week, announced the league office Monday.
Rodriguez notched three victories at the No. 5 singles position and added a win at the No. 2 doubles spot as the Lions went 3-1 on the week. After posting a pair of 6-0, 6-0 wins, Rodriguez earned a hard-fought victory at Boston College.
This spring, he owns an 11-4 mark in singles play and a 3-4 record in doubles matches.
Eastern Nazarene boasts a 13-8 overall record and punched its ticket to the GNAC championship match for the fourth-straight season.
The Lions host Gordon April 24 in the final regular-season home match before squaring off against Colby-Sawyer in the GNAC championship match April 24.
