Franco Milivinti Tabbed GNAC Men’s Tennis Player of the Week
WINTHROP, Mass.- Junior Franco Milivinti (Buenos Aires, Argentina) of the Eastern Nazarene College men's tennis team has been selected as the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Player of the Week, announced the league office Monday.
Milivinti went 2-2 in singles matches and 3-1 in doubles action in a 2-2 week for the Lions.
He rolled to a straight-sets victory at the No. 3 singles position and partnered with Iker Rodriguez (Naucalpan, Mexico) to notched an 8-3 win at the No. 3 doubles spot as Eastern Nazarene wrapped up conference play with a 9-0 win over St. Joseph (Conn.).
In the Lions' 5-4 victory over Baruch, Milivinti capped off the week with a three-sets win at the No. 3 singles slot and an 8-0 sweep at the No. 3 doubles position with Iker Rodriguez (Naucalpan, Mexico).
Milivinti sports a 7-3 record in singles matches this year with a 10-3 mark in doubles play.
Eastern Nazarene finished the regular season with an 11-6 overall record and an unblemished 3-0 record in league competition. The Lions grabbed the No. 1 seed in the GNAC Tournament and a bye to the GNAC Championship. Seeking its third consecutive GNAC crown, Eastern Nazarene will host the winner of the semifinal matchup between Colby-Sawyer and St. Joseph (Conn.) April 29 in the GNAC Tournament finals.
