The home side claimed all three doubles points to hold a 3-0 advantage at the start of singles action.
Sam McKay-Corkum (Rehoboth, Mass.) and Sam Son (Wilbraham, Mass.) dropped an 8-4 decision at the top doubles spot to Edwin Zhang and Curtis Wu. Tim Luz (Cumberland, R.I.) and Nick Thompson (York, Pa.) fell 8-1 at the second slot. Tyler Perron (Plympton, Mass.) and Kevin Paterno (Buenos Aires, Argentina) absorbed an 8-0 loss at the No. 3 position.
MIT grabbed six victories in singles play to secure its fourth-straight win.
McKay-Corkum fell 6-3, 6-0 at the No. 1 position and Son dropped a 6-2, 6-1 decision at the second spot. At the No. 4 slot, Luz was edged 7-5 in the second set after losing the first 6-1. Paterno was handed a 6-2, 6-2 loss at the fifth position.
Up next, Eastern Nazarene travels south to Hilton Head Island for its annual training trip. The Lions will battle Penn State-Behrend in their first match on the island March 4.
