Men’s Soccer Falters at Emerson, 4-0

BOSTON, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College men's soccer team suffered a 4-0 setback at Emerson Tuesday evening.

THE BASICS:

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Emerson opened the scoring in the 24th minute to establish a 1-0 lead. Theodore Bushara netted his third goal of the year while Ben Deeming picked up his second assist.
• The home team doubled its advantage to 2-0 in the 39th minute. Rohan Edwards notched his first collegiate tally with a left-footed effort.
• Emerson added a goal in the 59th minute to widen the margin to 3-0. Theodore Bushara bagged his second marker of the contest, smashing in his own rebound after Gabriel Viau (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic) saved a penalty kick.
• The hosts tacked on a score in the 76th minute to extend their lead to 4-0 as Jorah Delbanco converted a penalty kick.
  

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

• Gabriel Viau (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic) concluded the game with four saves in his third start.
• Eastern Nazarene manufactured nine shots on the night while Emerson recorded 11 attempts.
• Dan Hill (Tewkesbury, England) fired a team-high three shots in the match while Nico Kaczmarczyk (Blickstedt, Germany) registered two shots.
