Leonardo Castro Claims NECC Men’s Soccer Rookie of the Week Honors

MANSFIELD, Mass.- Sophomore Leonardo Castro (Katy, Texas) of the Eastern Nazarene College men's soccer team has been tabbed the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Rookie of the Week, announced the league office Monday.

Castro tallied his first goal of the season in the Lions' 2-1 setback to Bridgewater State.

Eastern Nazarene, ranked No. 8 in the United Soccer Coaches Regional Rankings, boasts a 3-3-0 overall record and returns to the pitch September 21 with a road match at Bates.
