Antonio Soto Valente Tabbed NECC Men’s Soccer Rookie of the Week

MANSFIELD, Mass.- Sophomore goalkeeper Antonio Soto Valente (Maracaibo, Venezuela) has been named the New England Collegiate Conference Rookie of the Week, announced the league office Tuesday.

Soto Valente posted a 2-0-0 record as the Lions claimed a pair of non-conference victories at the MCLA Fall Classic.

The sophomore netminder posted a clean sheet in his first start of the season as Eastern Nazarene topped Salem State 1-0. He finished the match with six saves to earn the win.

Soto Valente stopped five of six shots he faced in the Lions' 2-1 victory over MCLA to cap off the weekend.

Eastern Nazarene sports an unbeaten 3-0-0 record on the year and returns to the pitch September 7 to take on Husson.
