QUINCY, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College men's soccer team suffered a narrow 1-0 setback to Dean Wednesday evening at Creedon Field.
The Lions fall to 5-8-2 on the season and 3-1-2 in the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) with the loss. The Bulldogs improve to 3-11-0 overall and 1-4-0 in league action with the win.
The guests snagged a one-goal lead in the 23rd minute. Felipe Campos netted his fifth marker of the year while Larry Gbomina and Davonn Smith both picked up assists.
Eastern Nazarene fired five shots in the opening frame while Dean attempted three.
The Lions were unable to tally an equalizer despite a flurry of chances in the final minutes of the match as the Bulldogs escaped with their first conference victory.
Eastern Nazarene recorded 19 shots on the night while Dean managed seven shots.
Florian Resch (St. Stefan, Austria) finished with three saves in the contest.
