BRISTOL, R.I.- The Eastern Nazarene College men's soccer team dropped a 5-1 decision at Roger Williams Tuesday afternoon in the 2017 season finale.
The Lions sink to 0-16-0 overall and 0-9-0 in the Commonwealth Coast Conference with the loss. The Hawks improve to 9-6-4 on the year and 5-3-1 in league competition with the result.
The home team got on the board in the 15th minute to claim a 1-0 edge. Kyle Farabaugh netted his second goal of the season off of an assist by Tyler Kuchenbecker.
Roger Williams added a score in the 20th minute to push its lead to 2-0. Sean Janson bagged his seventh tally of the year with a left-footed shot from a tough angle.
The Hawks notched their third goal of the opening half in the 24th minute to widen the gap to 3-0. Charlie Mader picked up his third marker of the season as Jordan Lach provided the assist.
The hosts chalked up a goal in the 44th minute to stretch their advantage to 4-0. Nicholas Sanchez headed in his second tally of the fall while Colby Decker and David Majetich both notched assists.
Eastern Nazarene was held to no shot attempts in the first frame while Roger Williams produced 24 shots.
The Lions cut the deficit to 4-1 in the 79th minute. Shawn Kerry (Hagaman, N.Y.) scored his first collegiate goal as he booted home a rebound after Nabil Chamoun (Walpole, Mass.) fired a free kick on frame.
The Hawks regained a four-goal lead with a tally in the 86th minute. Kabine Conde pounced on a loose ball and buried his first marker of the year.
The visitors finished with three shots in the contest while the home side registered 33 attempts.
Tim Eddings (Endicott, N.Y.) started the match between the posts and made nine saves. Victor Mendoza (Cathedral, Calif.) came on at halftime for his 12th appearance of the season.
