QUINCY, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College men's soccer team endured a 3-0 setback to Regis in non-league action Saturday evening under the lights at Veterans' Memorial Stadium.
The Lions slide to 0-2-0 on the season with the result while the Pride improves to 1-0-0 overall.
The visitors nabbed a 1-0 edge in the 38th minute as Grayson Owens booted in his first goal of the season off of an assist by Fabyanno Furbino.
Eastern Nazarene attempted six shots in the opening stanza while Regis notched eight shots.
The Pride doubled its lead to 2-0 in the 53rd minute. Derek Triana's left-footed effort from the top of the box curled just inside the left post for his first marker of the year.
The guests tacked on their third goal of the match in the 67th minute to widen the gap to 3-0. Triana bagged his second tally of the night as he poked a rebound into the back of the cage.
The Lions conclude the contest with seven shots while Regis generated 18 on the night. Junior Joao Costa (Framingham, Mass.) fired a team-high four shots in the game, including one effort that ricocheted off the post.
Rookie Tim Eddings (Endicott, N.Y.) posted five saves in his second start of the season in goal.
