Men’s Lacrosse Falters at New England College
HENNIKER, N.H.- The Eastern Nazarene College men's lacrosse team suffered a 23-6 setback at New England College Saturday afternoon.
THE BASICS:

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Eastern Nazarene tallied the first two goals of the game and sported a 2-1 lead after one quarter of action.
- New England College outscored the visitors 8-3 in the second frame to carry a 9-5 advantage into the halftime intermission.
- The Pilgrims poured in 11 goals in the third to widen the margin to 20-5.
- The home side netted three goals while the Lions managed one goal in the fourth quarter as New England College collected its second conference win of the season.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Jamar Griggs (Stamford, Conn.) notched a team-high four goals and paced the Lions with eight shots on frame.
- Devano Clarke (Lucea, Jamaica) posted one goal and three assists.
- Andrew James (Hyannis, Mass.) chipped in with one goal.
- Matt Cawthorne (Norwell, Mass.) finished with four ground balls and four caused turnovers.
- Goalie Walter Stockwell (Hyde Park, Mass.) registered 22 saves.
- Eastern Nazarene fired 26 shots in the contest while New England College racked up a season-high 72 attempts.
- Thomas Norton led the Pilgrims with seven goals and five assists on the afternoon. Sam Crary tallied five goals and added five assists while Devon Saeger recorded five assists and four goals.
