Men’s Lacrosse Clipped by SUNY Cobleskill
NORTH QUINCY, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College men's lacrosse team endured a 23-7 loss to SUNY Cobleskill Saturday afternoon at Creedon Field.
THE BASICS:

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- After the visitors opened the scoring 2:03 into the contest, Eastern Nazarene answered with a goal to level the score at 1-1 as Matt Cawthorne (Norwell, Mass.) notched his first tally of the season.
- SUNY Cobleskill rattled off six unanswered goals to close out the first quarter with a 7-1 lead.
- The Fighting Tigers manufactured eight goals in the second frame while the Lions netted four goals in the quarter as SUNY Cobleskill sported a 15-5 advantage at the half.
- The guests outscored the home side 5-0 in the third to widen the margin to 20-5.
- Eastern Nazarene picked up a pair of goals in the fourth quarter and the Fighting Tigers tallied three goals in the final frame to earn their second consecutive victory.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Devano Clarke (Lucea, Jamaica) finished with two goals and a pair of assists while scooping five ground balls.
- Matt Cawthorne (Norwell, Mass.) collected a pair of goals and paced the Lions with eight ground balls.
- Jamar Griggs (Stamford, Conn.) tallied two goals while Clevince Bogle (Lowell, Mass.) buried his first career goal and grabbed six ground balls.
- Xavier Depina (Whitman, Mass.) recorded six ground balls and caused three turnovers while Kellen Lee (Henderson, Nev.) registered three ground balls and caused two turnovers.
- In his third start of the season in goal, Walter Stockwell (Hyde Park, Mass.) racked up 21 saves while also chipping in with one assist.
- Eastern Nazarene produced 31 shots while SUNY Cobleskill concluded the contest with 72 attempts.
- Albert Sippio and Jake Giess both finished with four goals and two assists for the Fighting Tigers. Gregory Neumann posted four goals and one assist while Kerry Blackwood notched four goals and Sean D'Amaro tallied three goals and three helpers.
