
Martinie Kamga Tabbed North Atlantic Conference Men’s Basketball Co-Rookie of the Week
WATERVILLE, Maine- Freshman Martinie Kamga (Yaounde, Cameroon) of the Eastern Nazarene College men's basketball team has been named the North Atlantic Conference Co-Rookie of the Week, announced the league office Tuesday.
Kamga averaged 17.0 points per game and 10.3 rebounds per contest as the Lions posted a 1-2 record on the week. The rookie notched a double-double with 24 points and 14 boards in a 70-57 loss at SUNY Delhi before registering his ninth double-double of the year with 22 points and 13 rebounds as Eastern Nazarene outlasted Thomas 94-88 in double-overtime.
This season, Kamga ranks 19th in NCAA Division III with 10.9 boards per contest to go with 13.2 points per game. He also leads the conference with a field-goal percentage of 61.7% on the season.
Eastern Nazarene owns a 5-12 overall record with a 2.7 mark in North Atlantic Conference play. The Lions are slated to host Lesley January 16 in a non-league matchup.
