Men’s Basketball Edged at New England College, 60-59
HENNIKER, N.H.- The Eastern Nazarene College men's basketball team suffered a narrow 60-59 setback at New England College Wednesday.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- New England College grabbed a 12-21 advantage with 9:56 remaining in the first half on a bucket by Alex Williams.
- A basket by Sammuel Prosper (Hyde Park, Mass.) capped off a 7-0 run by Eastern Nazarene to cut the deficit to 21-19 with 6:38 left to play in the opening frame.
- The home side closed out the half with seven unanswered points to hold a 28-19 halftime lead.
- The Pilgrims claimed a double-digit lead with 17:54 to go in the second stanza, 34-24, as Alex Williams drained a three-pointer.
- Eastern Nazarene clawed back to seize a 52-51 edge on a trey by Joey Hanlon (Pembroke, Mass.) with 3:44 left to play in regulation.
- After a three-pointer by Javier Osowski-Friere (Madrid, Spain) put the Lions ahead 57-56, New England College responded with a fast-break dunk by Alex Williams to snag a 58-57 advantage with 1:07 remaining.
- The visitors regained a one-point lead with 40 seconds on the clock as Khabri Davis (Peoria, Ariz.) converted a pair of free throws, 59-58.
- The Pilgrims answered with a layup by Jayden McGrew to secure a 60-59 edge with 23 seconds to go.
- New England College escaped with its second win at home as Eastern Nazarene's last-second attempt was off the mark.

- New England College concluded the contest with a field-goal percentage of 38.9% to go with a 3-for-11 effort from long range.
- Kyle Inglis paced the Pilgrims with 12 points while Alex Williams, Junior Efosa, and Michael Hills all chipped in with eight points.
