
Martinie Kamga Tabbed North Atlantic Conference Men’s Basketball Rookie of the Week
WATERVILLE, Maine- Freshman Martinie Kamga (Yaounde, Cameroon) of the Eastern Nazarene College men's basketball team has been named the North Atlantic Conference Rookie of the Week, announced the league office Monday.
Kamga averaged a double-double in a three-game week for the Lions, averaging 14.7 rebounds per game and 13.0 points per contest.
In Eastern Nazarene's game at Fisher, Kamga poured in 22 points and hauled in 17 rebounds off the bench. He posted his second-straight double-double as he made his first collegiate start at Lasell, finishing with 16 boards and 10 points. Kamga capped off the week with 11 rebounds and seven points in a 70-67 loss to Wheaton (Mass.).
This season, Kamga ranks second on the team with 12.6 points per game while ranking 13th in NCAA Division III with 12.4 rebounds per contest.
Eastern Nazarene owns a 1-4 overall record and returns to the hardwood November 28 to host SUNY Cobleskill in the first North Atlantic Conference game of the season.
