Men’s Basketball Edged at Lasell, 78-70
NEWTON, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College men's basketball team endured a 78-70 loss at Lasell Thursday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The visitors strung together a 13-0 run to jump ahead 26-23 with 6:43 remaining in the first frame.
- Lasell outscored Eastern Nazarene 4-3 in the final minute of the opening stanza to hold a 35-34 edge at the intermission.
- A layup by Martinie Kamga (Yaounde, Cameroon) with 15:13 left to play capped off a 7-0 run to give the Lions a double-digit advantage, 50-40.
- The Lasers compiled a 10-0 run to claim a 70-63 lead with 4:12 on the clock.
- Lasell connected on 6-of-6 from the charity stripe in the final 1:32 to lock up its third straight victory.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Sammuel Prosper (Hyde Park, Mass.) netted a team-best 16 points on the night.
- Martinie Kamga (Yaounde, Cameroon) posted his third double-double of the season, scoring 10 points and hauling in 16 boards in his first collegiate start.
- Darrell Hardge (Hialeah, Fla.) finished with eight points, seven assists, and two steals.
- Kobe Jones (Picayune, Miss.) and JT Rosier (Miami, Fla.) both chipped in with eight points.
- Eastern Nazarene finished the game with a field-goal percentage of 45.2% while draining 7-of-19 from beyond the arc.
- Lasell shot 39.4% from the floor and just 18.5% from three-point range.
- Marcus Lewis paced the Lasers with 19 points while Conan McCusker scored 18 points. Andy Madesko registered a double-double off the bench, tallying 14 points and grabbing 11 rebounds.
