Men’s Basketball Rolls to 89-68 Win at Lesley

MEDFORD, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College men's basketball team breezed by Lesley 89-68 on the road Saturday afternoon in New England Collegiate Conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Lesley constructed a four-point lead with 12:58 remaining in the first half, 19-15, as Jelanie Morgan drained a pair of free throws.
• Eastern Nazarene battled back with a 15-3 run in the final five minutes of the opening frame to sport a 51-38 advantage at the break.
• The Lions stretched the gap to 24 points with 4:51 left to play on a layup by Ryan Joseph (Pawtucket, R.I.), 80-56.
• The visitors outscored the home side 38-30 in the second stanza to remain undefeated in league action.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

• Bernie McGuinness (Cumming, Ga.) registered his sixth double-double of the year, pouring in 25 points and hauling in 12 boards.
• Levi White (Springfield, Mass.) posted his third double-double of the season, scoring 13 points and grabbing 13 rebounds while adding three steals and three assists.
• JaWaun Moore (Dayton, Ohio) netted 16 points to go with six rebounds.
• Kobe Jones (Picayune, Miss.) and Isaac Padilla (El Paso, Texas) both chipped in with nine points on the day.
• Eastern Nazarene shot 43.1% from the floor and 25% from beyond the arc.
• Lesley concluded the contest with a field-goal percentage of 36.2% while draining 9-of-38 from three-point range.
• Jelanie Morgan paced the Lynx with 12 points off the bench while Scott Barlow, Hezekiah Brown, and Christian Castro all notched 10 points.
