Men’s Basketball Clipped by No. 5 Christopher Newport Monday
QUINCY, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College men's basketball team fell to nationally-ranked Christopher Newport 98-59 Monday afternoon at the Lahue Athletic Center. The Captains came into the contest ranked No. 5 in the latest D3Hoops.com National Poll.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Eastern Nazarene trimmed an early deficit to one point, 17-16, with 11:17 remaining in the first half on a free throw by Levi White (Springfield, Mass.).
- Christopher Newport widened its lead to 46-29 just before the halftime horn as Brandon Edmond tossed in a layup.
- The Captains outscored the Lions 52-30 in the second stanza and maintained a double-figure advantage throughout the frame to cruise to their second-straight win.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Kobe Jones (Picayune, Miss.) netted a team-high 17 points while grabbing six rebounds.
- Levi White (Springfield, Mass.) notched 15 points and five boards off the bench.
- Bernie McGuinness (Cumming, Ga.) tallied 12 points while JaWaun Moore (Dayton, Ohio) added eight points and five assists.
- Eastern Nazarene managed a field-goal percentage of 343% to go with 5-for-20 shooting from beyond the arc.
- Christopher Newport shot 53.4% on the afternoon and 31.8% from three-point range.
- Jahn Hines paced the Captains with a game-high 24 points while Trey Barber recorded 19 points and Scott Mullin chipped in with 12 points off the bench. Collin Hines registered a double-double off the bench, scoring 10 points and grabbing 10 rebounds.
