Men’s Basketball Triumphs at Salem State in OT, 83-79
SALEM, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College men's basketball team outlasted Salem State in overtime to claim an 83-79 victory Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Salem State established a nine-point margin with 11 minutes left to play in the first half, 20-12, as Javier Osorio drained a trey.
- Eastern Nazarene trimmed the deficit to 35-32 just before the halftime horn.
- The visitors jumped ahead 41-39 less than three minutes into the second stanza on a three-pointer by Kobe Dunbar (Lakeway, Texas).
- The Lions grabbed their largest lead of the game with 2:21 remaining in regulation, 66-60, as JaWaun Moore (Dayton, Ohio) banked in a layup.
- After Bernie McGuinness (Cumming, Ga.) converted a pair of free throws to give Eastern Nazarene a 70-67 advantage with 14 seconds to go, Salem State responded with a three-pointer by Jarret Byrne in the final seconds to knot the score at 70-70 and send the game to overtime.
- The Lions outscored the Vikings 13-9 in the extra period to lock up their second-straight win.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Bernie McGuinness (Cumming, Ga.) notched his second double-double of the season, pouring in a game-high 24 points while grabbing 11 rebounds.
- JaWaun Moore (Dayton, Ohio) posted his first double-double of the year, tallying 10 points and hauling in a career-best 11 boards while adding seven assists.
- Levi White (Springfield, Mass.) and Corey McGhee (Alexandria,Va.) both finished with 12 points, five rebounds, and four assists on the day.
- Kobe Dunbar (Lakeway, Texas) chipped in with 10 points off the bench.
- Eastern Nazarene concluded the contest with a field- goal percentage of 41.1% while sinking 8-of-22 from three-point distance.
- Salem State shot 49.1% from the floor and 42.1% from behind the arc on the afternoon.
- Conner Byrne, Jarret Byrne, and Jaden Castillo all scored 16 points for the Vikings.
