
McGuinness Powers Men’s Hoops Past Johnson & Wales, 86-63
QUINCY, Mass.- Behind a career-high 31 points by Bernie McGuinness (Cumming, Ga.), the Eastern Nazarene College men's basketball team rolled to an 86-63 victory over Johnson & Wales Tuesday evening at the Lahue Athletic Center, snapping a three-game skid.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Johnson & Wales constructed a 9-2 lead early in the contest before Eastern Nazarene clawed back with a 15-0 run to claim a 17-9 advantage with 13:25 remaining in the opening half.
- The Lions pushed their lead to double-digits, 24-14, with 9:51 left to play in the first frame as Kobe Dunbar (Lakeway, Texas) drilled a three-pointer.
- The hosts sported a 42-24 advantage at the half.
- Eastern Nazarene widened the gap to 27 points, the largest lead of the night, on a corner trey by Bernie McGuinness (Cumming, Ga.) with 15:23 on the clock.
- The Lions outscored the Wildcats 44-39 in the second stanza to collect their first-ever win over Johnson & Wales.
