
Baseball Garners Seven All-North Atlantic Conference Nods
WATERVILLE, Maine- The Eastern Nazarene College baseball team earned seven All-North Atlantic Conference West honors, as the league office announced its end-of-season awards Wednesday.
Francis Ferguson (Jefferson, Mass.) picked up a pair of All-NAC West first team accolades as a pitcher and outfielder. Anderson Jimenez (Lowell, Mass.), O'Neil Jimenez (Lowell, Mass.), and Elvis Rojas (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic) also collected All-NAC West first team honors. Luke Descheneaux (Lowell, Mass.) and Eduardo Labour (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic) were both tabbed to the All-NAC West second team. Isaac Garneau (Pawtucket, R.I.) represented the Lions on the NAC Sportsmanship Team.
Ferguson sported a 6-4 record on the mound with five complete games in 11 starts. He paced the conference with 95 strikeouts and 67.0 innings pitched. In league contests, Ferguson went 5-0 on the bump with 53 strikeouts and a 1.50 earned-run average.
Ferguson also contributed with 56 base knocks, 33 RBIs, 34 runs scored, and eight stolen bases. He batted .400 on the year with a .571 slugging percentage.
Anderson Jimenez registered 44 hits, 34 runs scored, 33 RBIs, and three stolen bases on the season. In conference games, he finished with 19 base hits and 13 RBIs.
O'Neil Jimenez landed 40 hits, drove in 31 RBIs, and scored 22 runs this spring. He owned a .331 batting average with a .521 slugging percentage on the season. In league action, O'Neil Jimenez posted 19 hits and 16 RBIs.
Rojas paced the Lions with 58 base hits, 40 runs scored, and 16 stolen bases. He notched 27 RBIs while batting .382 on the year. In conference play, Rojas hit .404 with 18 RBIs and 21 runs scored.
Descheneaux boasted a 3-3 record on the mound and tossed a pair of complete games this spring. He ranked second on the squad with 57.2 innings pitched and recorded 33 strikeouts. In league contests, Descheneaux sported a 2-2 record with 14 strikeouts in 27.2 innings of work.
Labour added 38 hits, 20 RBIs, and 17 runs scored on the year. He posted a team-best .438 batting average in conference games while notching 21 base knocks and 11 RBIs.
Garneau appeared in four contests during the 2024 campaign and chipped in with one run scored.
Eastern Nazarene concluded the season with a 13-21-1 overall record and a 9-6 mark in the North Atlantic Conference. The Lions qualified for the North Atlantic Conference Tournament in their first year as a member.
