Baseball Stumbles at Bridgewater State Friday
BRIDGEWATER, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College baseball team endured a 22-4 loss at Bridgewater State Friday.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Bridgewater State tallied one run in the top of the first inning to claim an early 1-0 edge.
- Eastern Nazarene answered with a pair of runs in the bottom of the first to seize a 2-1 lead. Francis Ferguson (Jefferson, Mass.) laced a double to right-centerfield to drive in Elvis Rojas (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic). Eduardo Labour (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic) followed with a double to knock in Francis Ferguson (Jefferson, Mass.).
- The Bears produced four runs in the third to grab a 5-2 advantage.
- Bridgewater State added a run in the fourth to push its lead to 6-2.
- The Bears generated six runs in the top of the fifth inning to widen the margin to 12-2.
- Bridgewater State plated four runs in the sixth to stretch the gap to 16-2.
- The Bears tacked on three runs in the seventh to expand their lead to 19-2.
- The Lions notched one run in the bottom of the seventh inning to cut the deficit to 19-3. Eliel Florentino (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic) scurried home from third base on a wild pitch.
- Bridgewater State chalked up three runs in the top of the ninth to hold a 22-3 advantage.
- Eastern Nazarene managed one run in the bottom of the ninth inning to trim the margin to 22-4. Matthew Serrata (Ozone Park, N.Y.) scored as Elvis Rojas (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic) reached base on a fielder's choice.
