Elvis Rojas Named NECC Baseball Rookie of the Week

MANSFIELD, Mass.- Freshman Elvis Rojas (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic) of the Eastern Nazarene College baseball team has been tabbed the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Rookie of the Week for the second time this season, announced the league office Monday.

Rojas collected six hits, three runs scored, and three stolen bases in a 1-2 week for the Lions.

This season, Rojas has notched a base knock in all 12 games in which he has played. He has tallied 16 stolen bases, 12 runs scored, and 10 RBIs this spring.

Eastern Nazarene owns a 17-5 overall record and a 1-2 mark in conference action.

Looking ahead, the Lions return to the diamond April 8 with an NECC doubleheader at New England College.
