Brad Hampton Named CCC Baseball Rookie of the Week
SPRINGFIELD, Mass.- Freshman Brad Hampton (South Daytona, Fla.) of the Eastern Nazarene baseball team has been selected as the Commonwealth Coast Conference Rookie of the Week, as announced by the league office Monday.

Hampton played a key role in helping Eastern Nazarene split its season-opening twinbill against Illinois College. The rookie drew a walk and scored the Lions' first run of the season in the game one 5-0 victory.
In the nightcap, Hampton made his collegiate pitching debut and tossed a complete game as Eastern Nazarene dropped a 2-1 decision. The southpaw logged six innings on the mound and struck out six batters while allowing just four hits and two runs.
Hampton also sported a fielding-percentage of 1.000 with one putout and four assists.
Eastern Nazarene continues play at the Gene Cusic Collegiate Classic in Fort Myers, Fla. March 4 as it battles Newbury in a doubleheader.
