Bio

Ray Baltz (65) was an outstanding shooting guard and was the first member of the 1,000 Point Club, scoring 1,553 points - ranking him ninth all-time among ENC "hoopsters". This record was set over a four-year period in which he only played 64 games. His career 24.6 points per game average is third all-time, trailing only Ron Bradley and Don Eads in that category.

In recent years, Ray has provided financial assistance to the ENC athletic program, has been instrumental in organizing reunion events for past Crusader basketball team members, and also played a key role in starting the Carroll and Doris Bradley Scholarship Fund.

Two of his favorite ENC basketball memories were playing with teammates who loved to play basketball and were extremely competitive, but were also really great individuals, and winning the King’s Tournament basketball championship three out of his four years.
