Bio

Lynn (Norman) Simpson (86) played volleyball from 1982 to 1986. During her career, she helped guide ENC to 129 victories from 1982-85 and was an integral part of three NAIA National Tournament appearances in 1983, 1984 and 1985. Lynn had one of the keenest volleyball minds of any ENC player. She understood the game and the skill necessary to play the game at a high level.  Her work ethic made her a positive team leader.  Lynn developed exceedingly accurate serving skill that was never impacted by game pressure.  Her hitting skill could pinpoint the open spot and those who managed to get a touch found it difficult to handle.  Lynn's creative touch to custom made uniform design had Hawaiian opponents begging to trade ENC warm-ups with them.

She is currently the Pastor to Children and Youth at the Portland, MI Church of the Nazarene. She recently finished the Ministry Preparation Courses at Nazarene Bible College to be ordained as an Elder in the Church of the Nazarene. Lynn has continued to share her love of God and sports after graduating from ENC. The Bradford, PA Church of the Nazarene awarded Lynn a Distinguished Service Award in 2008. She has served as the speaking evangelist for children at the Upstate New York District Camp. She has coached high school volleyball in Waynesburg, PA and JV volleyball in Bradford, PA as well as coaching teams that were part of Festival of Life - New England District and Pittsburgh District.

Lynn married Larry (Bart) Simpson on New Year's Eve 1995 and they have two sons: Jalon and Noah.
