Bio

Alicia Thatcher came to ENC and played both volleyball and basketball. During her volleyball career she played on three NAIA National Teams, was named to the NAIA All-District team, received honorable mention in the Colonial Athletic Conference and was named to all-tourney teams at tournaments at King’s Tournament, Salem State College and Eastern Connecticut State University. During her four years of playing volleyball she participated on teams that compiled a 129-56 record. Her basketball career was equally as impressive. She averaged 18 points per game, had 918 rebounds, 1,334 career points, and had a 38-point game high record.  She is presently the 3rd all-time scorer.

A former teammate described her as the kind of player that always expected her teammates to do their best, knowing the team’s potential and not allowing them to settle for less. Inspiring her teammates to be better and try harder, she was a demanding athlete and played with conviction. A former teammate said… “I am glad to have been her teammate for four years and friend for 30 years.”

Alicia has worked in the Wareham, Massachusetts School District for more than 12 years working with at-risk students. She has two sons ages 13 and 15.
