
Eastern Nazarene Places 16 on CCC Spring Academic All-Conference Team
SPRINGFIELD, Mass.- Eastern Nazarene College garnered 16 honorees on the Commonwealth Coast Conference Spring Academic All-Conference list, announced by the league office Monday.
The men’s basketball and women’s basketball teams paved the way with four honorees each. The Lions’ golf and baseball squads boasted three selections while the men’s tennis and softball programs landed two student-athletes.
Senior Jeremy Wagner (Oklahoma City, Okla.) of the men’s basketball and baseball teams earned the distinction for the third consecutive year after collecting the CCC Baseball Senior Scholar-Athlete of the Year this spring.
Men’s basketball senior Jaylen Owens (Johns Creek, Ga.) was the lone Eastern Nazarene student-athlete recognized who also claimed All-Commonwealth Coast Conference accolades as he was tabbed to the All-CCC first team for the third time this season.
Jordan Grays (Elk Grove, Calif.), Krystal Holl (Smithsburg, Md.), Kristina Kaczmarek (Chatsworth, Calif.), Owens, Jeremy Wagner and Justin Wagner (Oklahoma City, Okla.) were all named to the Academic All-Commonwealth Coast Conference list for the third year in a row.
The Academic All-Conference honor rewards varsity student-athletes who attain a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 (on a 4.0 scale) or higher. The Spring Academic All-Conference Team encompasses student-athletes who participated in baseball, men’s and women’s basketball, men’s golf, men’s and women’s lacrosse, men’s tennis, and softball.
A total of 439 student-athletes from the conference’s 10 member institutions were recognized this spring.
