Baseball, Softball Teams Participate in Breast Cancer Awareness Walk
BOSTON, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College baseball and softball teams participated in the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk October 4 in Boston.
The walk started at the DCR Hatch Shell and wound along the Esplanade overlooking the Charles River.
A total of 6,272 participants took part in the annual event which raised over a million dollars for breast cancer research.
“As a program, it was awesome that we could participate in the Boston Breast Cancer Walk. We’ve done this for three years now, and this year was the most participants we’ve had. We collaborated with the Softball program, and it was truly a great experience on Sunday for everyone involved. The weather was good, and it’s for a great cause. We hope to continue this for years to come,” said head baseball coach Addison Rouse.
