Baseball, Women’s Basketball Teams Participate in Breast Cancer Walk

BOSTON, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene baseball and women’s basketball teams participated in the American Cancer Society’s “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer” walk Sunday, October 6.

The 5.7 mile route kicked off at the DCR Hatch Shell in Boston.

The baseball and women’s basketball student-athletes were part of 78 students and staff representing ENC. The Eastern Nazarene group was organized by resident directors Jay Govoni and Julita Bailey.

A total of 7,427 walkers participated in the event and raised a total of over $1.3 million.

Eastern Nazarene’s contingent raised over $1,000 in its second year of participating in the event. Last year, ENC’s team of just 24 people raised $660 for the American Cancer Society.
