ENC Athletics Announces No-Spectator Policy
The Eastern Nazarene College Athletic Department has established a no-spectator policy at all indoor and outdoor home events, including additional students, faculty or staff not competing or working the contest. The policy allows ENC Athletics game management staff to focus on maintaining the health and safety of those participating in the event.
"After evaluating the current conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have concluded that is in the best interest of our campus and community to focus on the health and safety of those participating the events," said Dr. Brad Zarges, Director of Athletics. "In order to maintain that focus and to mitigate exposure, we will play our home games without fans in attendance. We will continue to monitor the conditions with a desire to loosen some of the restrictions."
Although spectators will not be allowed to attend home games in-person, ENC Athletics is committed to live-streaming as many home contests as possible to allow fans the ability to watch for free online. A schedule of streamed ENC Athletics events can be found on the athletic department website.
Eastern Nazarene College will continue to work with campus, city, and state health officials as this semester's athletics schedule progresses and will provide any updates regarding spectator attendance when that information becomes available.
