Alex Flanagan Named ENC Lacrosse Recruiting Coordinator & Assistant Coach

QUINCY, Mass.- Eastern Nazarene College Director of Athletics Dr. Brad Zarges has announced the hiring of Alex Flanagan as Lacrosse Recruiting Coordinator and assistant coach.

Flanagan will lead the recruiting efforts for the Lions' men's and women's lacrosse programs with the intent of elevating both programs to varsity status in the 2021-2022 academic year. ENC's lacrosse teams will operate at the club level for the spring of 2021.

A 2020 graduate of Emmanuel College in Boston, Flanagan was a member of the Saints' men's lacrosse team and served as team captain as a senior. He appeared in 34 career games and tallied 59 career points with 43 goals and 16 assists while helping Emmanuel to three-straight Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Tournament appearances.

Flanagan has completed internships with the Harvard University Athletic Marketing Office as well as the Emmanuel College Athletic Department. He also served as head coach of the New England Stars Lacrosse Club Team from 2015-2018.

A native of Westford, Massachusetts, Flanagan will be pursuing his Master of Science in Management degree through Eastern Nazarene's Adult and Graduate Studies Division.
