Jack Sahlman Elevated to Head Women’s Tennis Coach
QUINCY, Mass.- Eastern Nazarene College has named Jack Sahlman the 11th head women's tennis coach in school history, announced Director of Athletics Dr. Brad Zarges.
Sahlman spent the 2016-17 academic year as the assistant men's and women's tennis coach. He will continue as the assistant men's tennis coach under 15th-year head coach Cris Popa.
A 2009 graduate of Eastern Nazarene, Sahlman was a four-year member of the Crusaders' men's tennis team. He compiled 54 career victories and served as a team captain during his senior year.
Sahlman served as an assistant coach with the men's and women's tennis programs at NCAA Division II Palm Beach Atlantic University in West Palm Beach, Florida from 2010 to 2012.
A native of Burlington, Connecticut, Sahlman returned to The Nutmeg State to become the head girls' tennis coach at Wamogo Regional High School in Goshen, Connecticut for the 2013 season.
Sahlman worked as the Director of Junior Development and Club Pro at the Woodridge Lake Association in Goshen, Connecticut for six years.
