Women’s Cross Country Races at 18th James Earley Invitational Saturday
WESTFIELD, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene women's cross country team placed 33rd out of 38 teams at the 18th James Earley Invitational hosted by Westfield State Saturday at Stanley Park.
Jessica Donovan (East Taunton, Mass.) crossed the finish line first among the Lions, posting a time of 22:59.63 in the 5K race to claim 197th place.
Jill Russell (Wappingers Falls, N.Y.) clocked in with a mark of 23:10.56 while Dezirae Maffit (Aurora, Ill.) turned in a time of 25:06.60. Emily Ansel (Lititz, Pa.) finished in 25:15.73 and Katherine Smith (Littleton, Mass.) crossed the finish line in 25:30.36.
Williams College captured the team title with seven runners finishing in the top 20.
Hannah Zydanowicz from Roger Williams posted the fastest time on the day, clocking in at 18:02.15 to grab the individual crown.
Up next, Eastern Nazarene will compete at the 7th Annual Saints Invitational hosted by Emmanuel College at Franklin Park October 18.
