Women’s Cross Country Opens Fall at Travis Fuller Invitational

Freshman Jessica Donovan (East Taunton, Mass.) was the Lions' top runner on the day, placing 14th with a time of 22:19.
Taylor Corbin (Honesdale, Pa.) and Jill Russell (Wappingers Falls, N.Y.) finished within a five-second span of each other. Corbin clocked in with a mark of 25:33 and Russell crossed the line at 25:38 in her first collegiate race.
Dezirae Maffit (Aurora, Ill.) posted a time of 25:48 while Katherine Smith (Littleton, Mass.) turned in a time of 26:37 and Amy Cornell (Bolton, Conn.) finished at 26:58.
Babson garnered the overall team title while the Beavers' Marina Capalbo won the race with a time of 18:25.
Up next, Eastern Nazarene will compete in the Gordon Pop Crowell Invitational September 21.
