Women’s Volleyball Downs Fisher, 3-1
QUINCY, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College women's volleyball team posted a 3-1 victory over Fisher Monday evening at the Lahue Athletic Center.
The Lions climb to 13-9 on the season with the win while the Falcons fall to 12-7 overall.
Eliana Baran (Beaumont, Calif.) racked up 17 kills to go with five digs on the night. Emma Graves (Berkshire, N.Y.) notched 14 kills and six total blocks. Ruth Aguilar (Tegucigalpa, Honduras) finished with 30 assists, 10 digs, and four kills. Fiona Shaw (Whitinsville, Mass.) collected a team-high 16 digs and dealt three aces. Amya Altman (Butler, Pa.) and Jessica Caldwell (Quincy, Mass.) each chipped in with 10 digs in the match.
The home team rolled to a 25-15 victory in the first set to seize a 1-0 lead.
Eastern Nazarene expanded its advantage to 2-0 with a 25-20 decision in the second frame.
Fisher captured the third set 25-15 to cut the margin to 2-1.
The Lions rattled off the final six points of the fourth set to erase a 23-19 deficit and prevail 25-23 to secure their third-straight win.
Macy Barnes paced the visitors with 19 kills while Aya Al-Juraishi added 12 kills and Paola Velazquez dished out 37 assists.
