PAXTON, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College women's soccer team clipped Anna Maria 1-0 on the road Wednesday evening in the first matchup between the two teams since 2010.
The Lions climb to 2-1-0 on the season with the victory while the AMCats fall to 1-2-0 overall with the decision.
The guests chalked up the match's only goal in the 13th minute to grasp a 1-0 advantage. Diamond Best (Danvers, Mass.) converted a penalty kick to notch her first tally of the fall.
Eastern Nazarene touted the one-goal lead at the halftime break and held a 3-2 edge in first-half shots.
The Lions withstood the home side's offensive outpour in the second stanza to clinch their second win of the year.
