Women’s Basketball Suffers 65-57 Setback to Suffolk
QUINCY, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College women's basketball team was dealt its first loss of the season Saturday afternoon, falling to Suffolk 65-57 at the Lahue Athletic Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- A layup at the horn by Eva Graf (Mather, Calif.) capped off a 7-0 run to close out the opening quarter as Eastern Nazarene and Suffolk were level at 18-18.
- The Rams grabbed a five-point advantage with 3:13 left to play in the second period on a bucket by Madi Mahoney, 31-26.
- Eastern Nazarene sported a 36-33 edge at the halftime intermission after Delaney Walker (Nampa, Idaho) splashed a buzzer-beater.
- The Lions pushed their lead to 46-39 with 3:50 to go in the third frame on a layup by Sabanna Berrios (Providence, R.I.).
- After the visitors battled back to seize a two-point edge late in the quarter, the home side knotted the score at 50-50 as Theresa McCarver (Fairfield, Calif.) tossed in a layup with eight seconds left to play in the third.
- Suffolk claimed a 56-50 advantage with 6:33 remaining in regulation on a baseline jumper by Aisling Crowley.
- Eastern Nazarene cut the deficit to 58-57 with 3:15 on the clock as Genesis McNeill (Providence, R.I.) completed a three-point play with a free throw.
- The Rams finished the contest with seven unanswered points to prevail 65-57.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Genesis McNeill (Providence, R.I.) posted 16 points, eight rebounds, eight steals, and four blocks.
- Alexandria Paquet (Santa Maria, Calif.) notched 12 points, seven boards, five assists, and five steals.
- Sabanna Berrios (Providence, R.I.) netted 10 points off the bench while Eva Graf (Mather, Calif.) finished with eight points and four assists.
- Eastern Nazarene shot 33.3% from the floor and connected on 3-of-16 from downtown.
- Suffolk concluded the game with a field-goal percentage of 38.2% to go with 2-for-10 shooting from behind the arc.
- Lauren Romito registered a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds while Amanda DeAngelis also recorded a double-double with 13 points and 17 boards for the visitors.
