Women’s Hoops Wins 81-65 at Lesley to Wrap Up Regular Season
MEDFORD, Mass.- The Eastern Nazarene College women's basketball team rolled to an 81-65 victory at Lesley in the final regular-season contest Monday evening.
THE BASICS:

Records: Lions (10-14, 4-2 NECC) | Lynx (4-19, 0-6 NECC)
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Eastern Nazarene controlled a 22-8 lead after the first quarter.
- Despite Lesley outscoring the visitors 17-10 in the second frame, the Lions held a 32-25 advantage at the halftime intermission.
- Eastern Nazarene grabbed its largest lead of the game with 1:19 left to play in the third quarter, 61-38, on a bucket by Te'yalla Simpson (Fairfield, Texas).
- The Lions outscored the Lynx 29-19 in the third period to widen the margin to 61-44 heading into the final 10 minutes of action.
- The guests chalked up 20 points in the fourth while the home side tallied 21 points as Eastern Nazarene collected its 10th victory of the season.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Te'yalla Simpson (Fairfield, Texas) notched a double-double by pouring in a career-high 20 points and grabbing 13 boards off the bench.
- Alondra Jimenez (Santa Barbara, Calif.) racked up 18 points, nine assists, six rebounds, and five steals on the night.
- Ashley Quigley (Fields Landing, Calif.) finished with 13 points, seven boards, and six assists.
- Delaney Walker (Nampa, Idaho) chipped in with 12 points.
- Eastern Nazarene posted a field-goal percentage of 45.2% while connecting on just 3-for-18 from beyond the arc.
- Lesley shot 40.6% from the floor and and 35.7% from three-point range on the evening.
- Sophia Torres notched 20 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Lynx while Alexandra Kerley registered 14 points and 10 boards.
